Mattie works by day as a set dresser and model maker for stop-motion animation films including Oscar winning Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio, Laika’s Missing Link, Kubo, The Boxtrolls and various television series including Shivering Truth, Tiny Chef and In the Know. She is currently working as Producer and Production Designer of the live action and animated hybrid short film, Machaca. At most other times she can be found at her home studio creating original jewelry designs and drawing vast seascapes, environments and creatures. Born and raised on the coast of Maine, she attended Lewis and Clark College and University of Maine at Farmington, graduating in 2007 with a BFA in Creative Writing: Fiction. She has lived in Portland, OR for longer than she can count on both hands.
